What's Google Drive?

Google Drive is a cloud based file storage and synchronization service that allows users to store, share and collaboratively edit documents in real time. It was released on April 24th, 2012. Google Drive is also the home for Google Docs, which is a suite of productivity applications that allow users to share and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentations together in real time. Google Docs can be saved to a user's computer in the following formats: Office, RTF, Text, PDF, HTML and ODF. Documents are automatically saved to Google servers as changes are made, and revision history is kept to view and track past edits. These Google Docs are an integral feature of Google Drive, which allows the tool to facilitate virtual collaboration.
